The NEMOW approach
When every minute matters.
Postpartum hemorrhage is a major cause of maternal illness and death worldwide. Uterine atony, when the uterus does not contract adequately after childbirth, is one of its leading causes. Rapid recognition and evidence-based treatment remain essential.
When medications are not enough, bleeding may require escalation to additional interventions. NEMOW UTD is being developed around intrauterine vacuum technology; clinical studies are needed to evaluate its safety and effectiveness. It is not a replacement for standard care.
